Luke and I have reached dinosaur status- today is our 47th. Today we will dine with Lee and Bob and Ellie and tomorrow use our gift certificate from son and daughter in law Tad and Janet. I have lots of red roses from Luke and the headboard I designed and had made by the wonderful wood worker Adam Welker was installed today. It is like wood sculpture. Picture later.

My little toe

When you have grandchildren around always wear shoes. I was congratulating myself on successfully teaching Will how to bake chocolate croissants when Ellie dragged the little plastic stool over to see better and unfortunately my little bare toe was underneath a corner when she stepped on it. She is no lightweight. Lesson learned

New studio floor

After months of hemming and hawing about what to do with my grungy studio floor the decision was made quickly after a visit to Ollie’s where I happened on a whole aisle of laminate , called my mr fixit and had it installed in 24 hours! It is so gorgeous I will now be afraid to paint there so I am switching to jewelry making. Just kidding.

Tide Pool

While part of my new landscape series, this painting is really a seascape. Tidal pools prevail throughout the coast line. They are captivating to watch as the tide rises and falls.
